Background

Cherie E. LaFleur is the Environmental Engineer for the USDA-NRCS Central National Technical Support Center in Fort Worth, Texas.  Ms. LaFleur previously had 19 years experience as an engineer with NRCS.  She has served in varied positions throughout her career including:  State environmental engineer for NRCS in Alexandria, Louisiana (2003-2008); civil engineer (design team leader) in Alexandria, LA (2001-2003); civil engineer (design engineer) in Alexandria, LA (1996-2001); civil engineer in Franklinton, LA (1993-1996); and civil engineer in Franklin, LA (1991-1993).

Ms. LaFleur brings a broad expertise in addressing agricultural waste management and water quality issues to the CNTSC. She earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University (1991).

In her new assignment as environmental engineer on the CNTSC core team, she will provide direct assistance, training, and technology transfer on issues concerning environmental engineering and animal waste management.
